On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the voters within the Strafford Fire Protection District voted with an enormous majority to approve a 9 million dollar bond extension. This will guarantee a new fire station, new apparatus, new rescue equipment, and a major remodel of existing station issues. We are very grateful to the citizens of this district. These funds allow us to defer some of the primary budget freeing up funds for more manpower, allowing us to provide even better service to our citizens. A special thank you to IAFF local 152 for all of their assistance in the campaigning of this issue.
Another topic that Strafford Fire Protection District is currently in the final stages of completing a drone vertiport with Valkrie UAS Solutions here at our Station 1. This will be the destination point from St. Louis supporting Mid-America Transplants Organ Allocations needs. They will be flying unmanned drones carrying organs, tissues, and blood to/from our site for delivery in Southwest Missouri. Any other questions feel free to call me.
