The May 4, 2025, FFAM Auxiliary meeting was called to order by President Sheri Berendzen, Cole Co FPD at 9:00 am. In attendance were: Joni Fields, Paris Rural FPD; Rosanna Jorgenson, South Holt FD; Lachrissa Smith, North Central Carroll FPD; Theresa Cox, Wentzville FPD; Bailey Burd, Johnson County Fire; Carissa Thompson, Holts Summit FPD; Diane Wynne, Galt; Cathay Ohmes, Wentzville FPD; Jennifer Sterner, West Plains FD; Robin Schrape, Jefferson R-7 FPD; Nancy Ransdell, Madison West-Monroe; Kathy Eggen, Johnson Co FPD; Reta Smiley, Galt FPD; Missy Erdel, Little Dixie FPD; and Deidre Batliner, Gravois FPD.
Minutes
The minutes of the April 6, 2025 meeting held at the MO State Fair Fire Station were read. Jennifer Sterner made a motion seconded by Diane Wynne to approve the minutes. The motion carried
Financial Report
$9,625.62 We raised $1,974 on the silent auction and $447 on the raffle. A motion was made by Missy Erdel and seconded by Teresa Cox to approve the minutes. The motion carried

Committee Reports
Poster Contest
Winners were chosen. We would love for more departments to participate.
Membership
Membership has not changed. 11 honorary members and 90 paid members. We have a total of 15 departments with 12 represented today.

Auxiliary of the Year
There have been no nominations for a few years. Joni is working on a new form for the magazine and the website.
Convention
The convention was amazing and the loot bags were very appreciated. Dylan Honea was praised for all of his work preparing for the convention and throughout the weekend.

We did not have any nominations.
Old Business
The website will be updated with photos and all pertinent information. We took photos prior to the meeting today.
Goals: better ourselves. A reminder that you do not need to have a department auxiliary to be a member of the FFAM Auxiliary, you just need a department sponsor.
Tim Bean, Missouri State Fire Marshall presented to the group about legislation and passed out a publication with all of the Missouri State Officials in it. He also shared thoughts regarding the Women’s Symposium coming up later this month as well as the number of line-of-duty deaths we have had in Missouri this year.

- Possible scholarships(convention, Fire School, Firefighter 1 & 2, furthering education)
Next Meeting
The next meeting will be on August 3, 2025, at the Missouri State Fair Fire Station.
