Happy New Year. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, Christmas and a Happy New Year.
The FFAM is scheduled to have another busy year attending lots of conferences and regional chief meetings throughout the state promoting the organization and to be a voice of the Missouri Fire Service. What was special about this year is the FFAM Auxiliary is joining us to promote what they do for the organization and also to promote membership with the Auxiliary. Thanks goes to President Weisz and the Ladies Auxiliary in joining the board of directors on the help of promoting the organization. Thank you, Ladies!

The MU FRTI Winter Fire School on February 4, in Columbia. The Chief Conference on February 25-27, in Branson. The Dispatcher Conference on March 13-15, in Branson. The Firefighter Day at the Capitol on April 5, in Jefferson City. The FFAM Convention on May 6-8, in Washington. The MOFPD Conference on June 23-24, in Lake of the Ozarks. The Revolutionary Fire Tactics on July 15, in Lake of the Ozarks. The MO EMS Conference on August 2-5, in St Charles. The Independence Fire Festival on August 27, in Independence. The Jefferson Engine Rally on September 24, in St. Louis. The Fire and EMS Funeral Team Conference on October 14-16, in Lake of the Ozarks.
About the regional Chiefs meeting, please contact me or the fire marshal’s office and we will be glad to send a director or assistant director to your meeting to speak about the organization and tell about the benefits we have to offer.
As you can see we are gong to have a busy year, this not include the annual Memorial Service or various other activities that we represent throughout the year.
As you are already aware, we ended the year with 2 LODD in the later part of December. The FFAM would like to extend our sympathy to Boone County Fire Protection District and the Tri County Fire Protection District on the loss of one of the personnel.
