The August 4, 2024, FFAM Auxiliary meeting was called to order by President Sheri Berendzen, Cole Co FPD at 9:00 am.
In attendance were
Joni Fields, Paris Rural FPD; Rosanna Jorgenson, South Holt FD; Missy Erdel, Little Dixie FPD; Lachrissa Smith, North Central Carroll FPD; Carissa Thompson, Holts Summit FPD and Diane Wynne, Galt FPD.
Minutes
The minutes of the May 19, 2024 meeting held at Lodge of the 4 Seasons were read. Missy Erdel made a motion that was seconded by Diane Wynne to approve the minutes. The motion carried.
Financial Report
The FFAM currently has $9,372.66 in its account. Rosanna Jorgenson made a motion that was seconded by Joni Fields to approve the financial report. The motion carried.
Committee Reports
Poster Contest
May use regular paper for the contest but it must be the same size.
Membership
Membership has not changed. 13 honorary members and 109 paid members.
Memorial
The memorial will be October 5-6 at Kingdom City.
Auxiliary of the Year
There have been no nominations for a few years. Joni is working on a new form for the magazine and the website.
Old Business
NVFC
This year it will be held in KC. Rosanna Jorgenson made a motion seconded by Carissa Thompson to donate $1000 to the NVFC to cover the Friday activity and meals. The check will be written to Missy Erdel. The motion carried.
Stair Climb
Carissa Thompson made a motion seconded by Sheri Berendzen to donate $250 to the stair climb. The motion carried.
Women’s Symposium
Missy Erdel made a motion seconded by Diane Wynne to donate up to $1000 to the Women’s Symposium. The motion carried.
New Business
Officers
All officers need to send a photo to Jaime for the website.
Bylaws
Joni is working on getting the bylaw updates on the website.
Signature Card
A motion was made by Carissa Thompson and seconded by Missy Erdel to open a new checking account at BTC Bank and have Lachrissa Smith, NCCFPD, Joni Fields, Paris Rural FPD, and Rosanna Jorgenson, South Holt FD as signatures on the account. The motion carried.
Adjourn
A motion was made by Missy Erdel and seconded by Joni Fields to adjourn the meeting at 9:43 am. The motion carried.
