Captain Adkison Retires | Warrensburg Fire Department

Captain Karl Adkison recently retired from the Warrensburg Fire Department after 34 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Warrensburg.  After joining the department in 1988, he was promoted to the rank of captain in November of 2006.  He served as a captain on the c-shift for over 15 years.

Captain Adkison was instrumental in many projects around both fire stations.  If something needed to be built or done around the station, he was ready.  Most recently he helped lead several additions to our training grounds at station 2, including a new roof prop and SCBA confidence course.  He also served as a strong mentor and helped create strong new firefighters.  His leadership, dedication, and willingness to serve both the department and community will be missed.

Captain, thank you for all that you have contributed to making the Warrensburg Fire Department better and our community safer.  All the best to you and your family in your retirement and next adventures!
