Auxiliary Minutes – January 2018

FFAM Auxiliary Meeting Sedalia Missouri, December 3, 2017

Meeting called to order by President Diane Hanes at 9:00 a.m.

Introduction of Officers

Present
Diane Hanes, Galt FPD; Theresa Cox, Wentzville FPD; Jessica Miller, Norborne FPD; Sheri Berendzen, Cole County FPD; Ann Jones, Madison West Monroe FD; Chris Slaughter, Warrenton FPD; Joyce Thompson, Kearney Fire Rescue; Brenda Wright, Shelbina FPD; Missy Erdel, Little Dixie FPD; Carla Pettijohn, guest; and Judy Bean, Missouri Fire Marshall office.

Minutes
Diane asked if there were any changes or comments for the August 2017 meeting minutes, since there was no October meeting. No changes were brought forward. Jessica made a motion to accept the meeting notes, seconded by Missy, motion passed.

Financial report
There were no new deposits and no new expenses since the August meeting, making the total; $6,285.37. Jessica made a motion to accept the financial report, seconded by Chris, motion passed.

Committee Reports

Membership
Theresa said 29 plus memberships have been received.

Auxiliary Member of the Year
Jessica brought up that names needed to be submitted for auxiliary member or group of the year award.

Posters
Diane spoke on why posters were rejected.

Convention
Nothing to report on at this time.

Contest
Nothing to report on at this time.

Historian
Chris said she has received pictures from convention and is working on a slide show with those pictures she has received.

Theresa showed us no old papers that she found from the end of 1950 and beginning of 1960, we talked on how things were done back then and how we handle things now.

Audit
The checkbook will be audited at the February 2018, auxiliary meeting.

By-Laws
There are still more by-laws to review. We won’t be able to have all of the reviews finished by the next convention to vote on.

Old Business
It was discussed that the maltese cross vases need to be purchased by the next convention.

New Business
Ann arranged for us to play a game for entertainment.

Tim Bean talked to the auxiliary of the things he has been doing in the fire marshal office. He said anytime the auxiliary or departments need for he or the fire marshal office to attend a meeting or event to please contact them.

Chris made a motion to adjourn the meeting seconded by Theresa, motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 10:16 a.m. Next meeting is to be February 11, in Sedalia.
