Auxiliary Minutes – March 2016

Meeting called to order by president Chris Slaughter at 8:58 a.m.

Present

Chris Slaughter, Warrenton FPD; Diane Hanes, Galt FPD; Susan Voss, Beaufort-Leslie FPD; Jessica Miller, Norborne FPD; Theresa Cox, Wentzville FPD; Sheri Berendzen, Cole County FPD; Ann Jones, Madison West Monroe; Janet Smith, Cole County FPD; Angela Fields, Paris Rural Fire; Joni Fields, Paris Rural Fire; Ashton Dahms, Beaufort-Leslie FPD; Missy Erdel, Little Dixie FPD; Barbara Mattox, North Central Carroll FPD.

Chris asked if there were any changes or comments from the December 2015 meeting notes. No one had anything. Ann made a motion to accept the meeting notes, seconded by Susan, motion passed.

Financial report indicated we began with $2,115.33. Income of $90 from dues collected at the December meeting. New balance is $2,205.33 Sheri made a motion to accept the financial report, seconded by Missy, motion passed.

Committee Reports

Membership

Susan waiting to see if she receives the check sent from Galt. Diane said she would write a check today. Susan will have a membership list ready before convention.

Fundraisers

Sheri indicated she found some first aid kits that we could sell. Jessica made a motion to purchase 5 first aid kits, seconded by Diane, motion passed. The new angel pins came in, Theresa will be sending a check for $281.50 to this vendor for the pins. Sheri will be taking all of the items to Winter Fire School to see if she can sell any. Silent auction items are needed for convention, already received a lap quilt from Barbara which is beautiful. At convention silent auction will be open Friday 11:00 a.m. -8:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. if Diane can get space outside by the other vendors. Diane will check into having a space for silent auction 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday before the banquet. Pam said she will have her quilt this year again.

Auxiliary Member of the Year

The team is ready for convention.

Nomination

Janet said the committee will be ready for convention.

Posters

Diane will be handling this with her auxiliary.

Convention

Diane is the contact person for the auxiliary if you need anything.

Memorial

Ribbon has been ordered and will be ready.

New Business

Ann asked if the Auxiliary would be willing to handle the table decorations at the 2017 convention? The Auxiliary said yes, Joni said she would be happy to take this project on for us.

As a group we discussed the possibilities of getting something to help identify us as Auxiliary members such as T-shirts, etc. No decisions were made, consensuses was we need something.

Susan made a motion to adjourn the meeting seconded by Angela, motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 9:42 a.m.
