FFAM Auxiliary Meeting Notes – 10/5/2014

President Chris Slaughter called meeting to order at 8:58 a.m.

Asked if there were any corrections or additions to the August 3rd, 2014 meeting notes; there were none. Jessica Miller made a motion to accept the meeting notes as they are, and motion 2nd Pam Carsten, motion passed.

Theresa was not in attendance at the meeting so no financial report was available.

Old Business –

Angel pins were discussed. Need to order 15 small and 15 large angel pins. Pam Carsten made a motion to order the pins and Jessica Miller 2nd the motion, motion passed.

Tabletop flags was tabled at this time.

Jessica is working on finding someone to do the logo for on top of the canopy.

Committee Reports –

Membership – Yearly dues are due by December 31. Chris is working on sending out a mass e-mail to remind auxiliaries that the dues are due by the end of the year.

Auxiliary Member of the Year – No new information at this time.

Poster Contest – The theme if the contest is, Working Smoke Alarms – Saves Lives – Test yours every month.

Nomination – None.

Historian – Sheri asked if anyone had pictures they want added to the slide show to please submit them to her. Chris said she would put something in the e-mail that she was going to be sending.

Sergeant At Arms – There will be discussion at the December meeting about a change to the By-Laws, Standing rules #9.

Memorial – Diane is not at the meeting for a report.

Convention – Chief Mark Amsinger, from the Lake Ozark Fire District, came in and talked to the auxiliary about the upcoming convention and what they have in the works. We asked if there will be an auxiliary to do the Silent Auction and other items that is usually handled by the hosting auxiliary, Chief Amsinger said he would check into that and let Diane know about that. Chief Amsinger also said room registration is now available at Tan-Tar-A and the room rate information is on the web page.

Fund-raising – More cups will be ordered.

New Business – No new business at this time.

Susan Voss made a motion to adjourn the meeting, 2nd by Angie , motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 10:01 a.m.
